Alaska SimpleService issue

Why is it that the Alaska SimpleService will not run?

I always get an error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.

I figured out that the Xbase++ runtime files needed to be in the same folder as the .exe.
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.
