Re: FastReport for Alaska Xbase++ FRAX
Xbase ++ users need to think about a new Report Generator.
FastReport will eventually cease to be operational. But it is still very good and usable.
What is it that we will replace it with?
Tom specializes in List & Label Report Generator. It's a shame it didn't work with FastReport software as well. We need a list of all the advantages and disadvantages of List & Label software over FastReport software.
Why?
Because there are other companies that make Report Generators that support working with Xbase ++, so deciding which of these software to use is a very thankless job.
Because such a decision cannot be made without a lot of work and testing of each of these software. And who today has the strength and time for that, if he is a specialist for FastReport, and FastReport still works simply, easily, quickly and flawlessly.

Serbian:

Hi Slobodan/Others
I do NOT agree that the way to go is to get alternative for fastreport. Everything about fastreport is awesome. What I suggest we do is to emulate what the folks at harbour did http://www.ozs.es/files/FastReport/FastReport.pdf. Harbour and Xbase++ share a lot in common. Using ot4xb.dll it should be possible to create a version of fastreport for Xbase++
That is my take.
