Alaska has been very quiet lately and I don't know what they are planning.
By now, they should have announced something of their own.
It's been almost 2 years since they introduced us to Arctica and yet there is still nothing.

Would you all still be interested if there was no participation from Steffen or any other Alaska representative?
yes yes yes

it would be nice if we could get boris to join us..

I was thinking of inviting Boris.

He could spend a good amount of time with Xb2Net and SQL strategies.

Let's see how he responds.
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.

I had previous conversations with Steffen regarding an Alaska Devcon in Chicago for the October 2009 timeframe.
I had received various hotel, catering and evening activities for a low low price. Steffen indicated that Alaska had already been to three conferences with an 18 month time frame (including a FoxPro in Phoenix), and would rather wait until 2010.
I had much correspondance with Martin as both Tom and he had done such a great job for the recent Berlin devcon.

I sent an e-mail to Steffen in January wanting to know if he wanted me to pursue the devcon for 2010 again, but no reply to this date (Martin warned that Alaska is very slow to respond).

Steffen was very informative during his presentation at the eXpress devcon, but Roger is the meat and potatoes anyhow.

I too would like to have Boris do his thing as that is the next direction which I would like to add into my stuff.

Would be great to see everybody again.

Rick -

I haven't received any responses from my emails to Steffen in months.
I'm concerned about what's happening in Eschborn.

Hello,

They are extremely quiet. I'm also concerned about what is happening.
Steffen didn't post any message on the newsgroup in 2010.
Best regards,

Chris.

Either way would be good. Having Boris and having him get into some detailed things would be good. Express++ enhancement, especially the new features would be good.

Cliff.

Alaska posted "Roadshow" information for Denver on Oct 11, 2010

Perhaps an eXpress devcon Oct 12-15 to round out the week? Boise is just a skip and a hop from Denver.

Thanks for that info Rick.

Denver has direct flights to Boise.

I'll contact Steffen about this.
