All of a sudden my program is getting OS errors trying to pack files on 2 of my Win 7 machines.
I did a system restore on my PC and it now appears fine.
Could this be a windows 7 update problem?
Has anyone else experienced this?
I use foxcdx drivers

problem with DBPack
Re: problem with DBPack
I had another customer report the same problem but didn't know what to tell them.
I don't know how a system restore would fix it but I'll give them that suggestion.

Hi Roger;
For some reason I was not following your advise from a long time ago to close a file after a pack and then reopen it immediately before reindexing it.
This error I got is probably a random timing problem with my server and workstation that occurred. I have not had a problem since doing that code change.
I think the speed of the new 64 bit I7 Core machines might cause an issue like this on a heavily used server. I put sleep statements in to slow the process down a bit and we will see what happens.
I am having some other issues that Bobby D will tell you about. Ever since I moved from exp 255 to exp 259 I have seen some strange dialog focus issues.
I am working with Bobby to try and resolve it.

Re: problem with DBPack
Bob,
Let me know what your issues are. I had to do some things also to address some changes from exp254 to exp259. Maybe some of yours are similar to mine. I think we have exp259 working the same as exp254

Re: problem with DBPack
Hi Cliff;
My problems with 259 were focus issues. If I came out of a dcprint on that used 'cancelenable' the next prompt that came up lost focus and the user had to click on the screen to regain focus. I solved it by getting rid of cancel enable.
What others issues did you have.?
