As in the program in Alaska to extract text from a doc-file?
Can someone tell me how to program in Alaska to extract text from a doc-file?
Re: As in the program in Alaska to extract text from a doc-f
You need low level extract content od doc file ?
If no, and you have MS Office Word installed, you can use save as with Active x connection.
For example save as to txt file or xml which is simplest readable programatically.
Or use active x for read rows, or search words etc.
So I am not use this, but I use Active X to modify exist DOC template with data from database to create new documents.

I use TX Text Control (www.textcontrol.com) as a component. It's able to load any text format and export just the text itself (and tons of other formats). Besides, it's a very cool word processing component as a replacement for XbpMLE.
