Roger,
When we make a structure change to a file xdot deletes the index, regardless if it is open or not. In 90% of the situations the index is not impacted. Any way to not delete the index file ?

xdot question
Re: xdot question
I have that on my list to fix.
Going to do that right now.
Actually, I NEVER delete the CDX file.
I rename it to CDK.
I just don't rebuild the CDX.
Files are renamed as follows:
DBF -> DBK
CDX -> CDK
DBT -> DTK
FPT -> FTK

Re: xdot question
Great. That explains it..good to know about the file name.
Second question. When we do change the structure we use it and copy structure to an updates folder. Is there something in your command to copy the structure with the index. (ie, we used to use "copy stru to filename with production"). Just do not know what command to use to include an empty index.
Thanks
