Sending an email from Alaska Xbase ++ and eXpress ++ applications to the e-mail server that uses SSL encryption
(smtp.gmail.com or others) can be a problem if the eMail sent via commands from Asin library, which still does
not work with SSL encryption.
The ZIP file (and PDF file)
Alaska Xbase ++ EMAIL ascom-asinet.zip
Alaska Xbase ++ EMAIL ASCOM-asinet.PDF
have been collected in one place examples (source code) possible solutions to this problem, by authors from
Alaska Xbase ++, from eXpress ++ and others. Especially processed sending email through Windows ActiveX controls CDOSYS.DLL which works perfectly with SSL encryption and with Xbase ++.

Re: cobasystems EMAIL and SSL encription
I have written many applications that use Asinet to send emails to smtp.gmail.com.

Re: cobasystems EMAIL and SSL encription
It is my understanding that Xbase++ v1.9 does not support this but Xbase++ v2.0 supports this. I have not tried it yet.
