Hi,
We now have two clients who upgraded their terminal servers from a prior version (12 and 16) to 22. Both state it is extremely sluggish. Both use ADS. In both cases the application and all dll files are on the terminal server, the ads and data files on the file server. Both have had system 10-15 years.
Just wondering if there has been any specific reports on issues on the more recent terminal servers, compared to older ones,, and if so, how it may have been handled. So far we have just responded that it is hardware and we have no knowledge of any windows server being slower than a prior one. Just checking...
Thanks
Fred

Re: Windows server 22
This doesn't sound good because SAP is discontinuing new licenses for ADS at the end of this year.
Did they reinstall ADS Server after upgrading?

Re: Windows server 22
They have not yet updated their data server. do you think they need to reinstall just due to a new connection?

That's not what I was getting at. I thought that maybe if ADS had been reinstalled, it may not have been configured correctly, such as data buffers, etc.do you think they need to reinstall just due to a new connection?
Based on what you are saying, there seems to be a communication issue between the new Windows server and the ADS server.

I pretty much told them that also. We do not get involved in hardware set up. It works fine until the afternoon when a lot of users are working and busy. Still ok on the old servers still running..they have multiple terminal servers.
Just was seeing if anybody had a similar issue and knew how it was resolved.
Thanks
