XML Parser Portuguese Chars Conversion

Hello guys!
I hope everything is alright with you!

I have a small problem and I don't see the solution...
I have an XML file with data in Portuguese.
It turns out that when I read this data it is converted to junk characters.
Has anyone had a problem of this type?
What can you suggest?

it's very simple.

SET CHARSET TO ansi
