Hi, Nolberto.
However, it's a FINGERprint reader, not a FOOTprint reader. There is a slight difference.
All those devices use the same technology with Windows. Look here:

Yes, but you can leave your socks on.Do you need to take off your shoes to use this device?
It measures foot odor.
Every person has a unique odor foot print.

It converts a DNA molecule to a data-string. Only need about 100 trillion bytes of storage.I wonder how to store that.![]()
Then it samples another DNA molecule by converting it to a data-string for the comparison.
Unfortunately, you can't do an exact compare, so they had to write a special "Smells like" algorithm, commonly referred to as "sniffer".
This can only be run on a quantum computer, therefore we are a few years away from any practical applications.

Maybe those stored foot odors can be reused with this technology:

I think that reversing the process will be very difficult.Maybe those stored foot odors can be reused with this technology:
It's kind of like taking a photo of a person and then re-creating the person from the photo.
I know that you can put farts in a can and spray them but I don't think you can manufacture farts from a "sniffer" database. I will ask my granddaughter about this. She is working on her masters degree in Digital Bio-Chemistry.
