Once we identified the problem as being outside of xbase and express, we contacted Win2Pdf, and they confirmed that it was a problem, and they provided an update that FIXED the problem.. When we had spoken w/ them last year about this same problem, they did not confirm the existence of the problem then.. (or, they just hadn't identified it yet)

The specific problem is with programs that programatically specify the filename when printing to pdf.

The updated version is available at:

http://helpdesk.win2pdf.com/index.php?/ ... -75-update

it works on both windows 7 and 8.

Please reply if you have any problems w/ this version.

Brian -

It appears that you are using the most current version of Win2Pdf. I have seen a similar problem with another customer. After we went back to an older version, everything worked well. I talked to the tech support people at Win2Pdf and they said that they did a major rewrite that was based on Microsoft Document Writer.
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.

Roger, there is a problem with their current publicly release new version. We've been using a version from 2009 to get around it. But, that version isn't certified (and we've had problems with it) on windows 8. The link i gave you is to a version that is not yet on their public download page, but it does solve all the issues we've been having. i'd be interested in hearing if it also solves the problem for your other customer (who is not having problems because he's using an older version)
