Hi all,
I am not versatile in Windows networking, but would like to setup a Windows web server for our website in my office. I do not want to use the so call web hosters. What are the requirements and the basic steps to achive this ?
Thanks.

How can I setup my own Windows Web server ?
Re: How can I setup my own Windows Web server ?
Hi, Joe.
1. If you don't get a static IP from your provider, create a DynDns-account. Point your URL to that one. Or use the URL from DynDns, which will be something like "joe.dyndns.info".
2. Ensure you have enough bandwith. Remember: Upload is the bottleneck! This is what your server will do most of the time.
3. Install Apache or the IIS - and a firewall. Cut connections to important machines/data.
4. Put your web-stuff on the server.
5. Run it - permanently!
That's it.
