Roger,
What method can be used to close a single file in ADS. Tried ARC32, which shows it open but cannot find a method to click to close it. May just be old age.
Could not find an answer on the help.
As a note, all users are on a remote terminal server, so ADS sees them as one user. So cannot disconnect the user or have them reboot to close the file. That is the most likely answer in a standard network.

Fred,
I don't think you can close individual files with the architect; it's really made for closing connections.
I misread your original question to mean how do you disconnect users.
Individual files are better controlled with the computer management console.

Re: ADS Client Server (SAP)
ADS in a remote desktop server environment shows the users in two methods. The RDP server is what was the workstation in the more traditional environment. However, it does show each individual user separately via their individual workstation IP address.
But in terms of disconnecting files and closing for a user, it is an all or nothing proposition. You close the user's connection and it closed all files attributed to that user. For example, if you have a user that has two ads enabled application running on the same workstation. If you select the connection for the one application, when you clear the connection, it will close and clear the connection for both applications, not just a single one.
Thus, before clearing the connection, you will want the user to exit out of all their applications that use ADS if you can as they will be a normal termination, instead of the forced one that will occur when closing via the data architect.
