Due the growth of Aqua Finance Inc's business, we are looking to add a staff programmer to our Wausau, Wisconsin programming team. We are a finance company with over 150 employees servicing a large 50 state dealer network that provides financing in over 50 different market areas. Our proprietary comprehensive financial and management operating software, utilized in-house and marketed externally to several other finance companies, is developed in Xbase++/Express++. The software interfaces with our internal users, provides information to our website and phone system, and communicates with a variety of external partner systems. The programming position provides significant upward advancement for the right person willing to relocate to our Wausau office. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of Xbase++ or other similar environments like Foxpro and/or Clipper. Knowledge of Express++ is a plus. We can provide the training required for programmers proficient in other languages to adapt their skills to work in our Xbase++/Express++ development environment. Our website is located at: www.aquafinance.com

Cliff -
Getting a programmer with this kind of experience is going to be difficult due to the fact that Xbase++ is not a mainstream language.
You may be more successful in looking for a recent college grad who can be taught the language.
Xbase++ is as easy (or even easier) to learn than other languages.
Do you have any colleges near Wausau?

Yes we do and we are checking with those also. Anyone can be easily taught how to use Xbase++ if they know any of the dotnet languages. Just wanted to do a posting here also just in case their might be some interest.

Now with global warming, Wausau, Wisconsin may be a nice place to relocate.just in case their might be some interest.
Warmer winters, no floods, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no hurricanes. A bit like Boise, Idaho.

My understanding is yes, but it does require periodic meetings in our corporate offices for some period of time each month or similar cycle. If interested, please contact our human resources department and complete the application on our company website.
