multi users in workbench
We are finally upgrading to Alaska 2.0 and the Workbench from 1.9. I have 5 developers that maintain 23 major application and 100s of utilities. All of the source code is on a server. I am excited to go to the workbench and anticipate an increase in productivity. I have already converted all of the ...

ADS with Alaska 1.9 & 2.0
Are there any issues with accessing ADS DBF files with a mix of Alaska 2.0 and Alaska 1.9 programs. I am just starting the conversion to Alaska 2.0 and there appears to be no problems with both xBase versions accessing shared DBFs at the same time.

Re: What Apps running on Workstation?
Thanks, but I keep getting a "parameter has wrong data type" error using your example in the help screen. In Line DC_ISAPPRUNNING(2364) Calling FINDWINDOWA(2290). I think it is the Class Name of the Window. I have tried: IF DC_IsAppRunning('XbpDialog',,'MYAPP.EXE',.t.) IF DC_IsAppRunning('XbpPmtClas...

Re: Using a command to copy DBF to EXCEL
I tried that but Excel recognizes it as a .xls just named as an .xlsx. I was hoping there was a replacement for the "-4143" that would change the file type?

Re: Using a command to copy DBF to EXCEL
Is it possible to save the spread sheet as an .xlsx for excel 2010? I have a customer who does not want an .XLS and complains that he has to load the .XLS and save it as an .xlsx.

Xbase++ changes characters?
Agri Stats publishes reports for Brazil customers using Portuguese characters defined in the PC-850 symbol set. We have just switched all of our programs from Clipper to Xbase++ and advantage server. Now, when you enter an ASCII 199 character (an "A" with a tilde above it in PC-850), Xbase++ changed...

Re: CDX Index File errors.
I was using the COMIX CDX Drivers with some success. However, with heavy file activity and lots of moving to different locations in the file, the index would get corrupted. The index would loop back on itself causing the program to loop forever on a set of 3 to 20 records. I had one Tag that has a k...

Re: Xbase++ and Windows 7 64 bit do not work together
Thanks for all the help. Roger and RDalzel. I downloaded Chk4Dll and there were no issues. I have only run one version of xBase++ since I started in November of 2011. The DLLs are installed at one location on the server and pointed to by a "Set Path" statement Auge_Ohr. We must have a totally differ...
